This Week - Immunizations, Volunteer Tea, Flames Crew Flag Football, Grade 6 to Ian Baz

Some upcoming events this week at school.  On Monday, June 1 - the public health nurse will be at school to do vaccinations for grade 6 students whose parents have consented for that to happen.  Then on Friday, June 5 the school will host a volunteer appreciation event called the Volunteer Tea at 10:00 AM.  This coming week, we have the Calgary Flames Crew here to teach flag football to our grade 3-6 students.  On Friday, June 5, our grade 6 students will be heading to Ian Baz Junior High School for an orientation.  Gr6 students not attending Baz next year will stay at school.

Some other upcoming events on the horizon.  On Thursday, June 11 from 4:00-6:00 PM we will be hosting our Year End Carnival. The Rotary Club of Calgary will be doing a BBQ starting a 4pm following by fun carnival activities in the school or outdoors if weather permits.  Another event on June 11 during the day - the Calgary Fire Department will have a Fire Safety experience for our grade 5-6 students to participate in.

A note for Grade 6 parents.  Grade 6 Outdoor School is coming up June 22-23 at Kamp Kiwanis in Kananaskis Country.  Information packages are being sent home to Grade 6 parents.  Please  complete the forms and return to the school as soon as possible.  We are hoping that all of our grade 6 students will participate.  The West Dover Parent Association is subsidizing the cost of this experience.  Payment for the parent portion of fees can be paid on your myCBE account.
