Picture Day
On Monday, Sept 21 we will be having Picture Day - Lifetouch Photography will be in the school taking student pictures.
Terry Fox Run
On Wednesday, Sept 23, we will be having our annual Terry Fox Run.
- We will start the day with an assembly in gym at 8:30 m.
- Parents are welcome to attend.
This is the first of our monthly assembly which usually focus on celebrating student learning and citizenship.
Our Terry Fox Assembly will help us all learn about Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope and it will be kick off to the day filled with Terry Fox runs during each class' PE time.
We will be collecting 'Toonies for Terry'. If you would like, you cand send a $2 coin with your child as a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research.
Non-Instruction Day - No School for Studnets
This coming Friday, Sept 25, there will be no classes. The day is set aside as a Professional Learning Day for Teachers and staff.
Orange Shirt Day
A couple of important events on the horizon. On Tuesday, Sept 29 we will be having Orange Shirt Day - this is a day to remember the stories and history with Residential Schools in Canada.
National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
On Wed Sept 30, 2026, there will be no school as it is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
We encourage families to attend the events at The Confluence in East Village in Calgary that will taking place that day.
Dance Residency
Further on the horizon is our dance residency with Three Left Feet Dance Company. We will have Allara Gooliaf, professional dancer in our school teaching modern dance with all of our students from Monday, Oct 5 until Friday, Oct 16.
