A few important events coming up this week!

April Assembly - Thursday, April 25, 1:45pm

All families are welcome to attend this monthly celebration of learning.

Math Curriculum Night - Thursday, April 25, 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Please join us for this family event - families will be given a passport to have teachers sign once they have completed a math activity in their classroom. Please drop off your passport at the office at 6:30pm. A draw will take place at 7:30pm for a new children's book will take place for a 5 families who have visited at least 5 classrooms. School council will be doing a bottle drive at this event as fundraising for the School Carnival taking place in June.

Chandra Crawford - Thursday, April 25, 6:30 - 7:30pm

Join us in the gym for a special presentation by Chandra Crawford, Olympic Gold Medalist in cross country skiing at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.  This presentation is aimed at parents and children.  Chandra will be speaking about resiliency, perseverance, and mental health and sharing her own story through first person narration, videos and images.  Chandra is a renowned public speaker - watch this youtube video to learn a little about Chandra. You won't want to miss this special opportunity to hear this Canadian Sports Hall of Fame athlete speaking - she likely will bring her gold medal and place it around your child's neck if you want for a photo with her and your family. This presentation is paid for by West Dover School Council and is meant to support our School Development Plan goal of building resiliency in students.   

Nation's Vision

Nation's Vision will be in the school this coming week to do vision testing on students whose parents have consented to do this.

Staff Appreciation

This week is Support Staff Appreciation Week at our school. We would like to recognize the incredible contributions of our support staff to student learning and wellbeing at our school.
