This coming week is a regular Monday to Friday week at school. Our next School Assembly is coming up this Thursday, April 30 at 1:45 PM. Assemblies are a chance to celebrate learning. Our Assemblies are hosted by a grade group of students. One of the important parts of our Assemblies is the Acknowledgement of the Land. This acknowledgement recognizes Treaty 7 people, the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, the Tsuut'ina, the Stoney Nakoda nations as the original caretakers of the Treaty land. This acknowledgement is an act of Truth and Reconciliation to honour the Indigenous peoples who have cared for their traditional territories since time immemorial and leads us to consider our individual and collective roles and responsibilities to the treaty relationship.
May is Asian History month. Our school will be learning about and honoring the contributions of Asian Canadians to our country.
Looking forward to another fantastic week of learning
