Jan. 29 - Feb. 2 Update | Report Cards, Home Reading

Greetings West Dover Families

Report cards are available on your MyCBE account for your children beginning on Jan 30, 2024. Report cards are written based on a body of evidence that teachers gather over a term. This evidence of student learning includes products of student learning, conversations with students about what they know and how they know, and observations of what students can do. Comments are written for a number of areas including reading, writing, and mathematics. If you have questions about your child's report card, its good to call the school and make an appointment with your child's teacher for after or before school starts. Our next formal check in occurs in March when Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled. You don't have to wait until March to talk with your child's teacher, you can contact them at any time to have a conversation.

Doing some home reading is a great way to improve reading fluency. If you don't have your child's raz-kids account information, email your child's teacher and they will provide you with that information. Raz-kids is a home reading program funded this year by our School Council.

Looking forward to another fantastic week of learning.
