Greetings West Dover Families

We are at our last week of school for the 24-25 school year.  It has been a wonderful year with many things worthy of celebration related to student achievement and wellbeing.

On Tuesday, June 24 at 1:30 pm we are hosting our Grade 6 Farewell Assembly.  This is an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our Grade 6 students as they move on to junior high school next year.  Please join us in the gym if you would like to attend.

On Thursday, June 26, at 10:00 am we are hosting our end of the year assembly in the gym.  All families are welcome to attend.

A couple of staffing announcements.  Ms Hill will be moving on to Stanley Jones School at the beginning of the 25-26 school year.  Ms Hill has been a Learning Leader at our school for the past 4 years.  We wish her well in her role as Learning Leader at her new school next year.  I'd also like to share that Ms Carrie, Education Assistant, has accepted a position as a Behaviour Support Worker at Sherwood School at the beginning of the 25-26 school year.  We wish Ms Carrie and Ms Hill all the best as they transition to a new school.  We will definitely miss them.

I would like to share information about classes for next school year.  We don't announce which Teachers are assigned to which classrooms until the end of August.  This is because there are a couple of more opportunities between then and now for staff to apply out to a different school.  You can expect a call from your child's Teacher for the 25-26 school between Aug 27-29 to welcome your child to their class and share some information about the upcoming school year.
