Greetings West Dover Families

This coming Wednesday you are invited to attend the West Dover School Council meeting - School Council is a structure in place to provide an opportunity for parents to be involved in the life of the school.  School Council meetings are a chance to consult and advise with the Principal.  School Council is open to all parents of children attending West Dover School.  The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 5:30pm.  On this month's agenda are conversations around the School Engagement Survey and information sharing around our new Video Surveillance system being installed on the outside of the school. Everyone is welcome to attend.  This month's meeting will be held at the Dover Community Center, 3133 30 Ave SE.

A reminder to parents of children in grades 4, 5, and 6 to please complete the online Alberta Education Assurance Survey.  You will have been emailed an access code and a link to the survey.  This survey is an important opportunity to share your perception around your child's experience at West Dover School.  Please take the time to complete the survey.  If you need some assistance please reach out to Mr Allen or myself at school 403-777-8260.

I wanted to let you know our school has been working towards being certified by Everactive Schools as a Health Promoting School.  This reflects the priorities we have around physical and mental well being. I am proud of the hard work of our students and teachers to bring about this recognition.
