Update Dec. 11-15 | Inline Skating ,School Council, Clothing Donations

Greetings West Dover Families

It was wonderful to see hundreds of people attend our Winter Concert this past Thursday, Dec 7. Parents, Guardians, Brothers, Sisters, Grandparents, Neighbours, Friends. Some big recogntion to Ms Donnelly our Music Teacher and all the children attending our school for the hard work in creating a memorable and impressive concert. It was also nice to have our School Council present making popcorn and helping with set up and take down of the gym. What an incredible evening!

This past week and coming week, children are participating in inline skating. On Thursday, Dec 14 we will host a Family Skate Night. A sign up sheet was sent home on Friday this past week inviting you to sign up for a one hour session of family skating - you can choose 530-630; 630-730; or 730-830 as the time you would like to attend. Sign up is first come first served. When a one hour session is full it is full as we only have enough equipment for a certain number of people each hour. So my advice is get your sign up sheets in early.

This coming week as well, School Council will be hosting its monthly meeting at 530pm in the learning commons. All Parents and Guardians are welcome to attend.

As we move into winter, please know that we do have some winter clothing to donate to families. The Rotary Club of Calgary donated 20 pairs of winter boots, many of which have already been given to families, however there are still some sizes available. We have lots of toques and some snow pants and winter jackets as well. Please dress your children for the weather.

A heads up as we move towards winter break. Our last day of school will be Dec 22. Dec 22 will be a school spirit day. Students are welcome to wear onesies or pyjamas to school that day.

Looking forward to another fantastic week of learning.
